Important Changes

Date : 17th January 2005

First we wish all users a very Properous New year.

Our first newsletter of 2005 announces some new facilities designed to assist you get the most out of Kitchendraw. but there are also some major and important changes to the way they are accessed.

A complete Tutorial Programme:
A new web site has been created on which we have created a Kitchendraw Tutorial Programme.
The programme is broken down into 4 Sections covering the Basics of using the programme through to Catalogue Creation and editing.
Each section in turn is broken down into short 'videos' explaining each aspect using Kitchendraw in detail.
There is also a new support forum which will replace the existing one on this site.

Full details of how to access the Tutorials are outlined on the web site, which will require users to 'Register' to get access.

The new web site is kd.remotetutorials.com

Bedroom Cabinets added to ECP Catalogue:
A new Generic catalogue designed for the UK market has replaced the current one.
This catalogue is an update of the ECP Kitchen and Bathroom catalogue. In it we have included a range of Bedroom cabinetry along with a range of Beds.
It now also includes some additional items for the Kitchen and Bathroom user in the form of some Range Cookers and Back to wall bathroom sanitaryware.

All Generic catalogues are now available from the new site shown above, and Registration will be required to access them.

Appliance Manufacturers Catalogues:
We have released a range of Appliance Manufacturer Catalogues. These are available on the Kitchendraw web site on the Manufacturers catalogues page. Most of the catalogues are 'Priced Only' for adding appliance prices to quotations. However the Beaumatic catalogue also has some graphics included which can be used to replace the Generic appliances placed with appliance cabinetry in the ECP catalogue.
More Catalogues will be added shortly, and graphics will be added to those and some of the existing ones in due course.
We will also be releasing a new 'Generic' Appliances catalogue shortly with detailed instructions on how users can add their own graphics and prices to create their own appliance catalogues to use where we do not have a Manufacturers catalogue available.

New Manufacturers Catalogue coming Soon:
In the next few weeks we will be announcing release of a new manufacturers catalogue which will be available on the Kitchendraw Website.

The catalogue has been created by the manufacturer (Prentice Furniture) who have chosen Kitchendraw as their preferred planning solution. This is what they have to say about their decision;

Quote:
"When we (Prentice Furniture) decided to support our customers with the availability of a professional planning package we looked at nearly all of the design systems currently being used.

Our criteria for selection of the appropriate package was split between advantages for our customers and the needs of the company. Some of these criteria included;

For customers:
- Ease of use
- Flexibility
- Quality of the catalogue
- Accuracy of the pricing for quotations and ordering
- Cost of implementation
- Support

For the Company;
- Automated ordering
- Control of catalogue content and for both accuracy of pricing and presentation of graphics
- Speed and management of updates
- Automated integration with our internal systems
- Simplicity of checking orders

We chose Kitchen-draw because it satisfies all of the above criteria and there is no license fee to burden our customers financially, so they can continue to use other packages if they so wish, using Kitchen-draw for our products.
We are able to create and maintain our own catalogues in house implementing a high degree of accuracy and control to minimise customer mistakes whilst planning, and we can check orders very quickly as we receive an electronic copy of the plan with every order which our staff can open and view to check and discuss with customers if needed.
Although it is a very powerful and flexible software package, Kitchen-draw is very simple to use and can therefore be learned very quickly by customers even if they have very little computer experience."
End Quote.

We will announce the release of this catalogue by newsletter in due course, but in the meantime if you would like information regarding their product range, please contact Andrew Cattell on 01827 287387 extension 106.
